At the beginning of PechaKucha, I used my own experience to show the topic of my choice——conscious consumption.

Then I showed the relevant research results and introduced some projects related to the topic. In the process of introduction, because of too much data, the speed of my speech was a little fast, but it was a smooth end to the introduction of my research part.

Next, I determined my design direction. I described that I would reduce food waste by designing apps. However, Andy and jackie gave me some suggestions. I realized that my design purpose should be to reduce food waste, not to choose this topic for designing apps. Therefore, I will explore more design languages which will be suitable for my topic in the later research, not just placing restrictions on designing apps.

Finally, I made a summary, summarized all the contents of PechaKucha, and explained the next design plan.

Overall , it was a relatively successful presentation. I had a clear idea and clearly elaborated the reasons and objectives of my topic. However, the direction of design was determined a little early, so I should explore more possibilities through further research.

Next, I plan to further identify the target population, more accurately solve the problem of food waste, through the characteristics of the population to investigate what way is more popular and effective, so as to achieve the goal of my project: reduce food waste.

Through this experience of PechaKucha, I learned a lot of presentation skills. In the future, I will try my best to simplify the language and show the key points directly to teachers and classmates.

Thanks for watching!
